Orange County Fire & Life Safety issues all Mandatory Permits as required pursuant to Section 105 of the NC Fire Prevention Code within all the unincorporated areas of Orange County. See list of permits under the Code Enforcement section. Please allow 5 business days for processing.
Orange County also issues the Mandatory Operational Permits as required pursuant to Section 105 of the NC Fire Prevention Code and NCGS Chapter 14 Article 54 within all the unincorporated areas of Orange County and the Town of Hillsborough, except for the municipal limits of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and property owned by UNC and Duke.
